the most difficulties in Writing Class.

don't you know guys, tha last assignments was very difficult and the most difficult to make it.
the most difficult paragraph is ilustrative paragraph. when I was making ilustrative paragraph, I couldn't imagine it, I was so confused to make it. and the result I made many mistakes in my paragraph, not only in the composition of the paragraph, but also the grammar and the arrangement of each sentences, hufh....
it made me really upset.
and the second paragraph is persuasive paragraph, it was also very difficult. but it was bot as difficult as ilustrative paragraph.
so, for all of my friends please help me to understand it, nad how to make it easy...

Argumentative

Dear all...
I hope you won't be bored with my reflective blog which always tell you about our writing class. In this week, we only had a workshop about argumentative paragraph. I made many mistakes in this paragraph, not only about the composition of the paragraph, but also from the grammatical aspects. hufffhhh....

last week, I identified Kajol's paragraph. she wrote about Electronic facilities in Ma'had. It was really interesting. Before I read her paragraph, I didn't know that foreign students are allowed to use electronic facilities excessively. but in her paragraph, she didn't wrote about the opposing argument. 
and about my mistakes in my paragraph, I didn't give the example in the parargraph. and also about the grammar, I think I was really careless when wrote it. 

overall, making argumentative paragraph is more difficult than making other types paragraph before. and may be the types of paragraph that we will write will be more difficult more and more.
so we have to be more spirit to learn about every kinds of paragraph.

this week we only had some workshops, because there was no presenter who presented their paragraph.
in the workshop in wednesday I wrote a process paragraph. I wrote about flower polination process. and I identified nisa's paragraph she wrote about the process of making roll bread. it was very interesting .
and the following workshop on friday, we wrote about definition paragraph. and wrote the definition of metabolism. and I identified Lilis's paragraph. she wrote the definition of envy. it was interesting title.in every workshops, I made some mistakes in my writing which I didn't realize it. but, because of it, I can improve it in the next writing assignments with other kinds of parargraph. most of my mistakes were in grammatical aspect basically.
by identfying our friends' paragraphs, I can understand my mistakes in writing, and try to improve it in our next writing.

the writing class is more interesting, and more interesting in every meeting.

in our last meeting on wednesday, we had three presenter. the first presenter was Trias. she presented about persuasive paragraph. but we didn't agree that her paragraph was a persuasive paragraph. we thought that it was an explanation paragraph. but she was still in her opinion that her paragraph was a persuasive paragraph because of the last sentence in her paragraph. after having a long paragraph, she agreed with us.
and the second presenter was Zakki. her paragraph was clear that it was a classification paragraph. we also agreed with her. and the last presenter was Lilis. her paragraph also was clear. she presented two kinds of paragraph, those were process and classification paragraph.
then in friday, we had workshop like usual. we made classification paragraph and identified our friend's paragraph.
oh ... now I more understand how to identify paragraph by exercising regularly in Writing class.

same mistake in nervous day...

this week we wrote compare and contrast paragaraph, and had discussed about many kind of paragraph those are report and cause-effect paragraph.
making a kind of paragraph is easier than analyzing the kind of paragraph I think, because I often make a mistake when analyzing paragraph.   I have tried to be more aware when analyzing the kind of paragraph, but I'm still confused and doubt to decide what the paragraph it is.
from our previous discussion, I realized that I need more exercise and be more aware again to know the kind of paragraph.
in last friday, I was so nervous when Miss. Vita got angry. huffhhh....
I felt that Miss.Vita was angry because of our mistake, especially me. because I often made mistake when analyzing paragraph, it showed that I never study. whereas I have studied although I got difficulties for analyzing paragarph.  hufhhh...
I think I need more exercise and reading some books.
and one important thing which I didn't realize it, I can't be patient when reading a paragraph and just read the first sentence, and the other sentence I just read, yeah only read without concentration.
Now I have to change my bad habit for improving my knowledge.

In the previous discussion yesterday, we presented about some kinds of paragraph.There was a compare and contrast  paragraph, and definition paragraph.
In my presentation, I presented  about a kind of paragraph which I thought it was an argumentative paragraph, but some of my friends and Miss. Vita said that it was not an argumentative paragraph, but explanation paragraph.
Actually before I presented it, I identified it and read more and more , at the first I had two options about the kind of the paragraph,it was argumentation or definition,  but I was not  sure. because it showed a someone's opinion about something meaning. I never thought about the motion on the paragraph. So I decided it was an argumentative paragraph.
And about the others presenter, it was a good presentation and a good example of paragraph.
And now, I understood about argumentative paragraph.

descriptive or ilustrative???? *_*

Our previous writing discussion was very confusing and and hilarous. For Putri's presentation was very clear, but for Yogi's presentation was very confusing. Because we found many topic sentences in his paragraph, after having long discussion and gave our argument, Yogi admitted that he modified his paragraph. huuffhhh....

And there was no problem with Okta's paragraph, but for Nita's paragarph I was so confused. at the first I thought that it was an descriptive paragraph, but when Iswa argued that it include to Ilustration paragraph, we started to reread and being confused. After having long discussion and many considerations, then we agreed with Iswa's opinion, and stated it included to ilustrative paragraph.

Actually till now I can't differenciate between a descriptive and ilustrative paragraph. as I know descriptive paragraph is describe saomething by the appearence, but ilustrative paragraph is similar with descriptive paragraph, but what is the different???? and How to differ it????
may be some of you can explain it to me????

Identifying paragraph

At the first I thought that identifying paragraph was easy, but I was wrong. It needs more concentration and more careful. If we just read it without knowing the topic sentence and understanding what the purpose of the writer it is, we won’t know the type of paragraph. Especially for confusing paragraph like we found in our friend’s paragraph yesterday.

And at the previous meeting, I didn’t read the paragraph which presented by my friends carefully. Even for confusing paragraph. Firstly, I thought Dina’s paragraph was a kind of classification paragraph, but I was wrong, after having a long discussion we knew that it is a kind of argumentative paragraph. And I also did it for Lalang’s paragraph.

So the most important lesson for our previous meeting in my mind is we must read and reread carefully and try to understand what the purpose of the paragraph it is, before we classify it into a kind of paragraph.

Paragraph 

May be we have known about paragraph in our previous school, in senior high school or other grade of school . We know that a paragraph contains of some sentences and that sentences consist of a topic sentence and some supporting sentences. Topic sentence is the main idea or the theme of a paragraph. It is usually put in the beginning of paragraph. The source mentions that a good paragraph only has a topic sentence. A topic sentence use to inform the reader what writer will be discussed in the paragraph.  And supporting sentence consists of some sentences which explain the main idea. It explains details and specific examples of the main idea and also the conclusion of the paragraph.

There are many kind of paragraph, that are narration, exposition, description, definition, comparison, process analysis, and persuasion. Narration is a kind of paragraph that tells us an event which happened in the past. It can be a fictive or real event, and it has some characters, a setting, conflicts, and resolution.

 Exposition is a kind of paragraph that explains something. I’m not sure it can be called explanation or not, but it shows the details of an incident.

Definition is paragraph that defines something in writer’s story to find the meaning of something, but it is not based on the dictionary but it based on the writer’s language or based on the writer’s world. And description is similar with definition but it is different. Description is describing something by the appearance, what writer saw and writer  tries to show us by inviting us to imagine the object with his or her own words.

Comparison is a paragraph that compares two or more things, it usually compares the benefits of the things. And process analysis is a paragraph that shows the process happen. It is usually followed by some steps. And the last is persuasion, this paragraph is to persuade people to do something or to influence their mind.
